Gboko Government Secondary School Old Students Association (G-GOSSOSA Set "95) paid courtesy call on the Chairman of Benue State Independent Electoral Commission Makurdi (BSIEC), Dr John Tor Tsuwa. Members of Gboko Government Secondary School old students Association set " 95 during a courtesy call on one of their own Dr John Tor Tsuwa stated that he is known for setting records and breaking new grounds been the first to have gotten a PhD as well as attain this height among them.
According to the National Chairman of the Association, Mr Chris Ayuba the visit was just to identify with one of their own on his well deserved appointment as the Chairman of the Commission as well as pledge their support for him been someone who has done the set proud at different levels of endeavour.
The chairman in his response appreciated his set members for identifying with him as well as blessing him right from their school days. He dedicated his present position to them having given him a title right from Secondary School days as "Nomyange u class" meaning the shining light of the class which he believed is what has taken him to this level in life.
He promised to carry out his responsibility diligently by conducting free, fair and credible Local Government Council elections in the state. He also enjoined them to collaborate with his commission to deliver on credible elections.
The group also presented a congratulatory card to the chairman.
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, charged the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission, BESIEC, to conduct council polls in the state as soon as possible.
Dr. John Tor Tsuwa attended Government secondary school Gboko and passed out in 1995. Before his appointment as the Chairman of BSIEC, he was a lecturer with the Department of Political Science.
